18" BL in a trunk

heres some pics from the mock up process. i am just about to begin on the angled peice whcih will hold the sub in place.

how about a port coming from the front angled baffle to the back and along the rear wall and if needed because of length along the side of the other wall.

why particle board and not mdf?

thats a good idea i will look into it.

this is only a mock up haha so the real thing will probably be done in birtch

birch will be a very good idea for an enclosure that size. it should really save you some weight.

yea i agree. i have a buddy who works in a lumber yard so i should get a good deal

question for ya, i just got the 12" fi q and 2200.1 so im starting the build for it. how is a port 3x12 for it as far as area goes. is 36^2 inches good? btw build log in one sec hehe

36sqin should be fine, the volume of the enclosure and tuning play a factor in this as well, but for the general consent you have enough port area.

ummm face the sub where? as of now its angled back/up. port forward most likely yes

thats what i want to do but the trunk isnt tall enough at the front to do so....the only way i could fire it forward is to have it inverted at the back in the spot it is. but it just wouldnt be the same:crap:
