18" BL facing up in trunk car

Would this sound like poo? I have a friend that wants to put an 18" BL in a 300m, and the only way it will fit is to face it up. Any help?

I actually had an 18'' BL facing up in my old monte carlo and it sounded just as good as it would have if it was facing back. No problems at all...
