I had the type X 12s before and they provide excellent Sq, however I favor my type r setup, they get much louder yet they provide excellent Sq also. Try them out, you may like them, though I wouldnt consider it a major upgrade over what you have.

i would say keep the R's. I liked the x's that I heard, but there wasn't much of an increase from what the R's give.
