18 or 15 inch subwoofer that has

Looking to see if I can make my cutout hole on my box bigger to house an 18 or a 15 inch subwoofer. THe mounting depth can be no more than 8" maybe 8.5" and my box only has 2 cubes of airspace...is there anything that meets this criteria? Putting an 15 let alone an 18 in a 2 cube box is a disaster. Especially on low power. You will not be happy.

Boxes are tuned to match subs not the other way around. putting a bigger sub will change displacment, changing the tune

If you go sealed in 2cu ft...and can find one an Onyx 15 will work perfect....its a tc based sub with Aluminum cone...these are very high quality rare subs....i have 5 of them rated at 1500rms each

Try a cheap sub with a real soft suspension. something like a kicker comp or CVR might do the job.

Those are actually solid, decently built, low power subs.
