16v battery will work??

I was wondering if I got a kinetik 16v batt and I have stock 120 amp alt will it blow anything out if I used it on 16volts??

you cannot use the hc16v on a stock alt..

you'll need an alternator that can put out at least 18v

If you connect 16v to your cars computer, dashboars, radio, etc, it will fry them.

To run a 16v battery you need a seperate alternator that charges at 16v thats isolated to your stereo system, and a 12v alt that works for starting and running your car.

Ive used the Kinetik HC16v. It blew up and left me stranded. Nothing but problems.

the hc16v's need to be ran in larger numbers.. i wouldn't run less than 5-6 of them. they can't handle a much stepping down individually.

i tried to use 1 to do all the step down duties under the hood and it ballooned but once i paralleled all the 12v posts together on all 5 of them i was good.
