16v battery opinions??

Kinetik are good but they weigh more than powermaster D1000's (56lbs vs 46lbs) and they are not as strong. 3 HC16v batts are equal to 2 Powermaster D1000 batts.

All I know is 2 of the 3 vehicles in the states to do a 180db (soon to be 3 of 4) used kinetik and of the 3 none of them were a hired gun. Some want to compare less batteries to get the same number but when one system is 100+k watts or 84+k watts vs ~25+k watts, hmm I wonder which is going to take more batteries?

i think powermaster and XS are now 2 different companies, scottij is with XS making the uberness batteries.

Both are great brands, But i'm leaning towards the XS

I do plan to do a direct test soon in a Team Sundown vehicle... he has four Kinetiks in there and I have four used D1000s here at the shop we want to try whenever he makes it out this way.

i didint know if you could find modded batteries or what. i saw the power surge batteries dn how good they are. i plan on running a 4500D on 2 HO alt so i would need a decent battery bank. lol

its not that hard to run two three or more alts if you run each alt to a seperate battery all batteries will share the same ground of course. each alt has its own exciter that responds to each battery so there is no need for the resting voltage of each battery to be the same. there can be some isues with runing your computor on 16 plus volts though so keep that alt circut at 14.4 please. there is a lot to know to properly run multable alts but its simple stuff once you have done it.

there was a guy that has a jimmy on here i think and he has triple alts. i've asked hiom for some pics but he hasnt replied back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol but i think DC makes dual alt brackets cause i think thats who he got his from.

ive made my own and some for friends its not that hard. home made fits better than store bought every time. you can even put an xtra alt in place of ac unit or smog pump that way you will be able to stay with stock belt size.

Not only do Kinetik batteries not meet their advertised specs, but they have been proven to have lower BCI standardized test output numbers than the XS power D1000. Those tests were performed on randomly purchased samples, by a dis-interested third party lab. (JBI incorporated)
