Most components are rated as a pair. Keep that in mind...
In addition, the power rating on any speaker, regardless of how much BS it might be, has absolutely no bearing on how good it sounds. Actually, I'm not sure there's a spec out there that will tell you if you'll like those speakers more or less.
Personally, I like taking a peek at the guts of the crossover. Some companies go with steep slopes, some don't. Some cross over their tweets at higher freq and some cross them over lower. Tweeter material doesn't mean anything. I've heard titanium tweeters sound butter smooth and plastic tweets out perform aluminum & soft dome tweeters. How can this be? It's in the crossover my friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
How can you tell these things? Usually, you gotta do some digging around but one thing that makes speaker shopping easier is being able to listen to them first.
(want a hint on the JL ZR's? They sound EXACTLY like the older XR components, the only difference being power handling)
