1500w or 1800w Amp to power dual 700w subs?

Thanks! The factory sony system is actually pretty decent for mids and highs, so I originally set out to add just a little base in the 200-300 watt range. I kind of jumped the shark on that one lol!

So if someone handed you both the JL RD1500/1 and the Taramps Smart 3 amps for free, would you still use the Taramps over the JL for my subs?

i would take the JL for future resale purposes.

no, the p3 will need more out of the amp and honestly the JL isnt going to have a better preamp than the smart 3 anyway, the t0 will sound good either way. I personally liked the p3s but they are nothing at all special. the t0 is better components and will sound better sq or spl.
