150 On Termlab Out A Trunk?

I can think of a handful of people that I know that have hit 150 or near it on a termlab in a truck. One budy of mine has 2 12 mmats procasts in a honda civic with the seats folded back, and he hit 149, and he still has many options to make it louder with. His car is heavily modded though. Ive never heard 2 12 procasts that loud ever off the power he had to them.

How you figure. The people I know arent running just your average joe systems. They are people running 15inch 9500's, and 15 inch dreadnaughts with thousands of watts behind them, in their heavily modded cars. So your not going to tell me that 2 of those subs with a couple thousand to each arent capable of 150 in a trunk. My friend with the honda with the procasts put basicly all his money into making his car loud. Ill try to get some pics posted soon of it.

well, 150 trunk or no truck takes ALOT. DMX stage 2 subs have a retarded high FS of like 65hz+ if IIRC. all right subs, don't think they hold any WR's though... I'm sure DD and RE will this year. Maybe eD in mecca lol, we'll see, delvryboy's doing 150+ 1 15" TL eD SPv2 151.9 I think is his best score. Cars being loud is a huge part then box guiding pressure to the mic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif . airflow is your friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .

Im working on an spl system in my towncar, just to see how loud I can get it. Im getting a little hole cut behind the seats to let the air flow in, and then put some sort of decorative grill over it. Im going to run 4 12s, and see what kind of numbers I can put up in a big body lincoln.

Amigo, that's great, with something to back it up. That's all.

Yes, I know what it takes to get loud. Try (1) 9915, trick *** 6th order BP, (4) Orion 2500's, (3) Blue tops, and 4/Ott wire. For references sake, the MT 15" was 0.3dB down no matter what.

But You know what, 152.1 is still less then the 156.7 that is leading Street B right now.

That sound like average Joe to You?

Im running everything according to IASCA in the stock division, no cutouts, no mods. So competing in this division is very hard to get huge SPL scores out of a trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif That's why ive been talking to Moe and Bill Kraut to see if they can make a trunk car more on evenly matched to a hatch/suv in IASCA.

I never knew that you couldnt use cutouts. My friends werent competing, they have just been metered at some shops with the seats down. I didnt plan on competiting, but I sure wont now.

Thats a great score, the leader that would be in the same class as that in IASCA is hitting 159.8 db's this year, at finals he hit 160-61db's.

You can but youd be in a different class //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif There are different sanctioned SPL bodys such as IASCA, MECA, DB Drag, USAC. Those are the ones that come to mind. They all have different rules for different classes, different meter spots such as windshield, kicks.... So everything changes, you could be in one class for one sanctioned body and in a different one in another. Dont forget that guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
