15 SE or 2 12 type r

Alright, I am going to scrap the subs I have now becasue i cracked one of them...and initially I was going to go with one 15 to replace my 2 12's. People on here seemed to think that for around $200, the re SE 15 was the best for what i want (loud, but with good SQ).

I am thinking about going back to 2 12's though, and I am looking at the type r's, what do you guys think. Which setup will be louder.

Right now I have a dual 1.25ft^3 sealed box, but i am willing to build a new box if need be, so...I jsut want to know which setup will be louder, and also sound good.

I have 600-800 watts RMS to go out, so that to either one 15 or the 12's, let me know what you think. thanks

heres what id do...get the 15se and put it into a ported box as big as you can make it....give it around 700 rms too....should get pretty loud

You can make any 2 Type-R's or a single RE 15 loud, but since you're looking for SQ too, then you should really try and demo the subs if you can, otherwise you're going to have to work on a box that gets the type of sound you want (as much as the design of the sub allows of course)

get the Rs for SQ, and the SEs for a mix of about 60/40 favoring SPL....id personally take the SEs in a big sealed box

I'd go SE ported, give it 3-4 cubes, enjoy the sheer loudness

i' go for 3.0 cubic feet sealed with 2.5 lbs of polyfill.
