Anyone have any experience with these? How do they sound? Would 180 for a pair be a good deal for the buyer? Any comments are appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They are decent ... $180 for a pair is a pretty good deal, though.

What are you looking for in your stereo? SPL, SQ, a mix of both? About what percentage (ex. SPL/SQ, 60/40)? How much room for a box do you have to give up? Do you have an amp now, or will you be purchasing one in the future?

I have seen a kid with two 15" type Rs. i think 180 is a great deal, they have a good mix of spl and sq but more spl, probably 60/40. But the sealed box was HUGE, it took up his entire trunk in his camry.

what kind of amp are you using?

good buy if you've got the room.

Naw theyr definetly more of a SQ sub. they sound real nice and get decently loud. 180 for 2 15's is a **** good deal at that price u cant go wrong. Just build a nice sealed box and give em maybe 400 watts a peice (rms is 300) and ull be happy.

I'm probably looking for SPL/SQ 60/40, closer to 50/50 really. I have a Nissan murano so 60 some cu. ft of space in the cargo area without the chairs down. I don't have an amp yet, so I'm buying my amp after subs.

I was thinking about a pair of the 15" R's myself, mostly since a friend offered to give me his nice 4ft^3 sealed box. So after driver displacement, it'd be around 3.75 I'd guess....anyone wanna guess how much amp would fit that size sealed box with two 15" r's?

I'd hope that a lil Switched would sound good coming through it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i didnt kno that,, are u sure about that?
He's right ... the 15's are 500 RMS and the 10's and 12's are both 300 RMS.

They will handle well over that, or so I've found.

Jmac, when you've got a minute we've gotta talk about a dual 10" sealed box for two Type R's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
