15" SI Mag enclosure question

I'm planning out a vented enclosure for a 15" Stereo Integrity Magnum D2. I'm going for 4.0ft^3 @ 30hz. I've been reading around and looking for what other people have done but I haven't really found too much. I planned out a box using the subwoofertools.com calculator and it gave me a port area of 74.375in^3 but I saw somewhere on the SSA:SI forums that it should be more around 56? Does that sound right or should I stick with the calculator plans?

yeah i'd also like to know. I plan on getting my box built for my 15" mag sometime maybe this week and getting ideas.. Right now I'm set on 3.5 @ 32...

i had my 15 in a 3.7@27 hz box with 35 sq inches of port. I wouldn't go any bigger then 3.7.I would suggest 3.5-3.7@32 hz with 45 sq inches of port.

That's great but it doesn't say anything about recommended port area..

SI's website does leave some to be desired...no Xmax, no sub displacement, no recommended port area.

oooops reading it again i guess it does say 26mm one way linear

16 sq in of port per cuft so i would go around 64 sq in. i like the 4 cuft 30 hz idea

Lol, oops. I meant .15 ft^3, I'm an engineering major, all we ever deal in is meters, or metric measurements.

I'm still coming up with 74.375in^3 of port area.. I'm hoping someone can help out, I was planning on starting the build tomorrow.
