Definitely not sold to them by Kove. I'm pretty sure that TC Sounds built the Z series drivers, and then sold the overstock to PE. They're a pretty good deal for the price. Definitely geared towards getting loud. Shouldn't sound half bad though. Should handle a decent amount of power, and get pretty loud.
You get about 3L of linear displacement for the 15, which is about the same Vd as an Eclipse Ti 15. Not bad for $200. Doesn't have the suspension travel of the Ti, or the thermal powerhandling, but it has more cone area and will still quite a bit of power. Again, for $200, it's a pretty good deal.
It's definitely a woofer geared towards getting peaks in the response, if that's of interest. Should sound decent in the right box though.
