145DB on a single 12"

I'n my Saleen Mustang in the trunk.....I ran a single DD9510 on two M1's strapped...two Batcap 2000 batteries...no big three ...stock alt....1 gnd 1 pos 4 ga run from front to rear battery ...in a standard 40hz 10 box that plays low bass....and did a 143+ on a 30sec average playing music in street beat beating a JLw7...12 in a PT Cruiser by nearly 4dbs...who had a high tumed SPL box and 2000 watts going to it....I have my DD 9510 i ran for sale BTW......

Me and my friend put an Eclipse sw4200 12" in his Integra in a 2.0ft^3 @ 45 test box we made for fun and fed it 400w and we hit 134.1 @ 56Hz (not TL so it doesnt really count i guess)

I was surprised because this sub is nominally good for 250wrms.

Later down the road we tossed in a L7 12" and I wouldn't doubt it'll reach low 40's.

Anyway, if you upgrade your electrical I think an AQ HDC 12" will be another good option if you're looking for some output.

Thanks guys I'm lovin the suggestions.

I think I'll get a new alt and battery next paycheck then I'll get a new amp/wireing with the paycheck after that, then the sub'll come last.

I got a single 12" Alpine Type R that hit 143db...(BPX 2200.1 amp)

the box was sitting in the passenger side trunk corner (Tempo)

woofer facing the drivers side trunk corner and port shooting forward

Termlab mic 12" from pillar and 3" off the dash

there was also a guy at a comp here last summer that hit 147db with a single 12" Alpine

Type R in a Dodge Calibur

Yeah I was pretty sure the type r's could do it but man I just don't like how they sound. They just aren't very clean.

AQ HDC12 and AQ 2200. Yes you need to up your alt and 160 should be fine. No matter what ya do upgrade your batt. If your looking at yellow tops ya might as well get a Kinetik 1800 for about same priced shipped.

you've got a long way to go buddy.

personally id go with the 15. i havernt had trunk space in 6 years and never looked back. thats why you have a back seat

before you do anythign else you need to upgrade your electrical system. prepare to invest alot of money if you wanna get loud

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.
