Not trying to ruin y'alls love or like towards these woofers but, they aren't peaches more of bruised bananas. The owner of the company stole tech from JL audio and got sued over it. So he removed some of the tech such as cooling and still released the woofers. The build quality of them is definitely subpar. Through a lot of research I did on them back 6-7 months ago a saw many chipped or cracked motors. I also saw many people with soft part failures. One guy even had cracked baskets. I am just for warning some of you about these woofers.

That does not mean all of them will have issues but, buy with caution.

I had one of these back in the day. Yes the soft parts was junkish. Most of the flaws you rattled off is actually from user error. If you upgrade the soft parts on these "recone" them. They are really good subs. And it was not just JL Audio that used designs from. They took some from RE and Adire. Adire is the one that actually told JL about this. RE also stole many of Adire Audio design's along with other Big Market companies.
