Well I got lucky. A guy at work has two sa-8 d2's he never got to use. He went a different route. He has them still in box. Offered him $125 for both and took it. So ill have two sa-8's tomorrow. I will get an amp depending if I want to use both of just one for now. Leaning towards just one pushing 700-800w to it. So the next question of course is....

Box design for one sa-8. Putting it in my trunk, which is huge, so a single ported box should fit. Any designs? Tried using torres, but got confused. Thanks.

Put it in a transmission line. It'll slam.

Line needs to be 8.16' long and about 39in². But you should measure Sd to be sure of the line area I mentioned, because I don't have one to measure.

Sorry I forgot to mention my goal. I want more of a sq sub stage. But be able to get low when I want to rattle some things lol. Should I lower the power to the sub or tune it accordingly on the head unit? I dont want my whole trunk a big box. Need room for other things too. This is my daily driver, so no competitions for me. But if I have some people in the car that love deep bass, I want that option to blow them away when they see its a 8" (or two). Guess Im looking for the most common custom built box size. If any of that makes sense.

The car is a 08 Taurus SEL. Big cabin sedan with huge trunk.

I can measure my box later tonight if you are interested. I had my sub rebuilt by SPL and now it is a real beast! I may be interested in stlling the sub box and amp. Link to my box
