12W7....H.O. box vs Prowedge

Has anyone had experience with both of these? I'm currently auditioning a 12w7 in a HO box and it sounds nice, but I'm wonderin what I would gain and lose by switching over to the prowedge. And I know I'm going to get flamed for using a prefab, but I'm too **** impatient to wait for a custom box to be built. So let me know what you think. which one do you have the?? i have the cyclops set up H.O. and it sounds way better then the prowedge imo.. you get more air space and better sq.. prwedge doesnt compare to the h.o.

I'm currently using the HO and tomorrow i will have the prowedge. i'm hoping it will sound a bit cleaner than the HO. I'm really looking for clean bass. But i do like to let my hair down every once in a while and turn it up.

That makes no sense.

The HO box was designed for higher spl. The prowedge is for SQ.

I bought the prowedge and it was nice...but then I built my own ported box tuned low.

If you only have a choice and will not build your own...I'd go with the prowedge. The HO was just too sloppy IMO.

I'm starting to think that the HO is a little sloppy. I just cant wait til tomorrow when my loaded prowedge comes in. And PatFitz9, I will take that box off of your hands. Don't worry about carpeting cuz if i like it enough, it may be wrapped in vinyl. I know where Glenview is and I live in Hammond, right on the southern Border. So I'd be willing to pick up the box. I have the HO box and can't compare it to anything else but I feel it still has great SQ and awesome output.

HO is a coupling ported type of enclosure. It's definitely a better box for output.

The H.O. is most definitely loud and sounds great, but yeah, its on the sloppy side. Nothing too nasty after all it is a W7. Im sure you'll be mighty happy it.
