i beleive the w6v2 was more of a SPl sub while the w7 was for sql may be wrong but it beleive that is the case which would make what you posted a true statement. but it is also install dependant those are just the nature of the drivers.

wow.... thats weird, was going to spend 600 dollars on 2 10w7's but i guess not anymore lol... im guessing the w7 sounds better?

w6v2 for SQL and the W7 for SPL and just so you know with the w6v2 you are going to enjoy music.

well... im looking to downgrade from my 15in XXX... not sure what to get, the mtx1501d im using to power the XXX is killing my elec system and i cannot give the 15in XXX the space it needs... im either thinking RE or JL. not sure what to get, I think i can get 800 dollars for my 15xxx/1501d combo locally and im gonna run a amp that puts out around 1000wrms with a 12in so my car can keep up without getting a new alt. currently running a yellow top with big 3/stock 110amp alt. anyones opinions?

^^^^^^^^ thats opinion.

both drivers were created to sound good. but that doesnt mean everybody thinks so. neither drivers purpose were to be loud. but that doesnt mean it cant be true.

i'd say with these drivers though, either one has the capability to be loud, or sound good.

if you wanna stay with RE go with an RE SE 12" and a jbl600.1 or sumthin

i've owned a pair of 12in SE's in their own 1cu ft sealed enclosures.. thinking something like SX? is the RL-p as loud as the SX in a ported enclosure?
