12v through MDF

I'm working on a build. I have a seal box and to give it a clean look I was planning on running the power and ground through one side of the box to the other using copper lugs nut bolts and washers. Is this a risk for fire?

I don't see why you would. Just run it behind it something.

If the wire grounds out and heats up, possibly..

I have mine ran like that and smoked a couple amps and still never had a problem there. But I guess it could happen ?

He has his car wired with Belva 0g (real 4g). The wire I plan on using inside the box is 0g knu klmx I have lying around which is a lot thicker. I plan on making sure everything is secured and tight. Battery is in the trunk and fuse is 150a

Oh my Bad I thought you meant speaker leads ! No I wouldnt do that cuz fuses take a while to blow and in that time your studs could heat up and cause a fire ! You have a fire extinguser ? Lol I got one after first amp burned up. So much smoke in the cab I barly got pulled over and batterys un hooked before I had a bigger problem !
