I bought some used 0awg wire which came with a 120a fuse. Will that be big enough for my amp? The amp itself has 5 30amp fuses.
Well thats kinda what I figured what would happen. Just checkin I guess.I'm gonna have to say, you'd want at least a 150 amp fuse at the battery...
If you use a 120 amp fuse at the battery, and your amp needs 150...what do you think is going to happen to that 120 at the battery? POP!
--edit--
And what zero gauge wire did you buy that came with a 120 amp fuse? I don't think I've ever seen that before. Are you sure it's not like 4 gauge or something?
Well if it's a breaker, then go for it! You only have to reset the breaker right? Fuse holders aren't cheap (unless you get 'em online, or even here!). Try using the breaker and if it trips too much, then get the ANL fuse holder.Well thats kinda what I figured what would happen. Just checkin I guess.
Idk what kind it is. I bought if from a guy off of here, he said he thought it was Stinger. Its not a regular fuse either though, its called a "car audio breaker" and it came with it. I think Im just going to go buy a different fuse breaker.
Why do u say I will only be using 1/3 of its power?120 will be fine, considering you will only use about 33% of the amps power...
