I was just running one Boston Acoustic G3 12" in a sealed box with 450 watts and, to me, sounded great. Got pretty loud and maintained excellent sound quality. Can get them new on Ebay for about $145.

Not too sure, but the specs look pretty decent to me.Never heard them.I like the SSA Dcon.I heard a set of 10s, and they hit pretty nicely.Bettr n"Reverse, may still have a pair of 8in woofers that will be pretty good too, rather than a single 12...maybe?

i have a brand new tc9+ psi sounds custom made sub 1500rms d2 12 inch sub, will kill the lows and will sound amazing. 200 bucks. and mono amp 1200-1500rms will run this bad boy perfectly

does more power mean better sound quality? i am looking for something at 450rms or a little higher. I am also not concerned with space.
I would say the power ratings do not necessarily automatically translate into loudness or sound quality. It depends on subwoofer's sensitivity. For example, 12 inch subwoofers can have sensitivities in the range from 84 to 90dB and beyond, 1watt/1meter I think. Assuming they work within they're usable power/excursion capabilities, the 90dB sensitivity sub could get just as loud as the one with 84dB sensitivity with 4 times less power.

By the way, is your budget for two subwoofers or per piece? I would say, $100-200 is enough for just _one_ decent subwoofer unless you buy used or on sale. Of course, there are some ok subwoofers that cost below $100 a piece, but they usually have some kind of limitation. If your goal is to get loud, get one decent subwoofer and put it into a well designed ported box (this can require twice as much space as 2 12 inch in sealed boxes).

Overall, looking at your budget, and also your power available, I would have picked a single subwoofer for myself. But if you insist on having two, take a look at Infinity Reference subwoofers. They're very cheap, with decent sound quality and sensitivity.
