12" w6v2 in H.O. box meant for 12" w7. How will it sound?

I saw this H.O. box in C list and thinking of buying it.

I have a kicker zx750.1 for the juice. My ? Is if it will sound ok i dont want a resonance or boomy sound that is audiable just because its really meant for a w7 has anyone tried this setup?

If you can get a good price on just the sub, buy it. Then get a box designed (and built, if you can't do it yourself) from someone knowledgeable on the forum.

The thing is already have the sub in a jl spec ported enclosure and it sounds ok should have specified that lol. The question now is if it will give out resonance and or sound good? Like punchy and tight or same as my current ported bult to spec box?

Manufacturer specs general. You can put the same sub/box in 5 different vehicles and get 5 different results. The vehicle itself, is just as important factor as what sub your using when designing a box.

I may be wrong, but I believe the W7 box is identical except it is tuned higher. I also think you'd be better off building one to spec yourself. Two cubes tuned to 32hz with 32sq in of port sounds really nice.
