I understand that you have the amp set this way because that is what sounded best to you.
That is always understandable.....
It is just odd that the sub sounds decent playing that small of a Freq range
In one of the posts you said you had the Freq set that low because you had a ported box.
In most cases this statement is backwards.......in the fact that it is harder for a subwoofer to play a lower frequency in a ported enclosure compared to a sealed enclosure......once a freq is lower than the tuning frequency it gets harder and harder on the suspension the lower it goes......
Pretty much, get a different amp that better suits your sub and if your not happy with the way it sounds after that then save up for something different.
and if you end up finding out that you are happy with your setup after the amp, then have a blast
but I have seen experiences with Volfenhag subs and amps and they usually end in disappointment.....and burnt coils/capacitors
