Yea i have a 12" type r in a ported box with an alpine 650 amp and i think its got awesome sound quality. I really want to hear the jbl now.lol

i had a type R 12 in a 2^5 box / aero ports tuned low and i think it sounded fantastic. It had good low end and sounded smooth and tight.

you can't even compare the two, ive owned both.. that jbl is a work of art, sounds good wherever you put it.. even in a .5 cu ft box it shined. its a very impressive subwoofer

SQ is phenominal on the GTi and its loud at the same time no matter what volume its at
