12" Type R box and AMp

i have a dual 2 ohm type r...

i want to get started on a box...what would you recomend for hz and size..i want a ported box of course, and something not to high or too low on the bass

any amp recomendations for one type r 12".... nothing $$$$ crazy

ps..im coming from 2 L7 12s and jus want something different..

i agree with that. and maybe a hifonics amp that does around 500-600rms at 1ohm.

your box is wrong then. 2 12 type R's can get louder than a single L7 12.

Around 2.0 cubes @ 32hz with an amp running at 700-1000w rms will be beastly.

yea ive been without any subs and amp for about a year..had to sell the l7s n amp due to $$ problems...

i figure its not going to be as loud but i want something that has a little bump for the price...

is 1000watts ok to throw at a type r?? i didnt think they could handle that much

is there a big difference in having 30hz compared to 32hz - 35hz?

so basically between 2-2.25 @ i cant decide hz..i want it to drop and i want some highs...kinda evend out

If you are just looking for a little bump go with the port tuned to 33hz it will satisfy your bass needs & yes these subs can handle the wattage. I have a sundown 3000d on my type r's & they handle it with ease. I have actually had L7's & these take wattage better than the L7 by far.
