12" sub on 1 cube sealed box?

IDQv3 they are ID's subs do amazing in small enlcosures. 1cube is plenty for it.

But there are a LOT of brands out there.

Everyone uses type ARRRRGHHHHH for spl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

lmao... 1 cube before displacement and you want to put in a 12" type ARRGHHH?
I doubt it...

Go with an 8" or a 10"
Im glad you mentioned displacement..

I ordered a sealed prefad off sonicelectronix. According to infinity, my 10 inch kappa would work well in a .75 box. When I went to order a .75 box of sonic, they said I should get a 1.0 because of displacement..

Wtf does that mean?

basicly, how much room the sub takes up. Sure u might have .75 to start with. Then you put that sub in and it takes up more space, so after that you might only see .65. Theonly way around this is to mount a sub inverted.

S2000 Type R setup....I would be interested in how the Type R sounds in that sealed enclosure...also what kind of amp you have pushing that. I too am doing a similar project but in a Dodge Magnum.
I've been told the Type R is more for SQL than for SQ. If anyone could confirm.
I'm pushing it w/ alpine mrp m500.

So do you guys think 10" would be better for both SQL and SQ on this box?

I'm ready to buy right now.

how deep is the box? that's one thing that'll determine what you can fit in it. if you have at least 5.8" in depth you could fit an IDQ12" sub in there with no problem and it would sound excellent. i have 2 12s in a 2 cubic foot box, seperated chamber so each in about a .95 cubic foot enclosure.

listen to this man you will be very happy with an IDQ, i loved the v2 and i hear the v3 is better...

I've been watching the IDQ V3...and I've heard a lot of folks on this board talk about how good it is. If I push this with a Kenwood 500 RMS amp in a sealed setup as per ideal volume...how much in db's would I lose than if the same amp would push in a ported enclosure?

Thanks!

In theory it should be louder with a ported box... a ten inch could bareley be ported with 1 cube net.

GL with the Type R sealed, did you see anyone agreeing with you anywhere on this thread?

Many better options for SQ.
