12" Single SQ Sub Recommendations Needed

Hello, I'm pretty new to the world of car audio but I learn quickly. Just got my fronts & rears installed last weekend, now I'm looking for a sub and amp. Probably getting a Rockford Fosgate 1000w mono or something similar. For the sub I'm think from 600w to 1200w, for less than $300, with a focus on loud, clear low bass. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Thank you! I like the Incriminator and ID subs, what about Sundown Audio and DD? Those were some other brands I'm looking at.

I've never heard of Audio Technix, looks like a great amp though, I'll check it out.

you cannot beat the audio technix for the price. rated at 12v's underrated. sundown and dd i dont look at them as more sq subs. the amp is just so cheap because the company is changing its name because of audio technica lol so they are closing out their stock

I went from an ID Q12v2 to a sundown sa12. The sundown isn't as music, but it has more punch and gets louder. It is was still clear but not like the ID.

I was pushing 600rms on the 300rated IDQ and 1000rms to the SA12. Both in the same 1.25ft sealed box.

If you really need to use that power consider a use IDMAX v3 in a 1.5 cu ft sealed box or so. Actually, the IDQ v3 may work out just fine.

JL is expensive. You pay a lot for the name and support they offer. That and most every audio retailer carries them. I'm trying to figure out how much shipping costs would be to see if it would even be worth someone buying. Right now it's being powered off 200rms in my girls Honda..so definitely not being beat on. It's in great shape.. I'll try to get some pics.
