Ok i made a thread earlier about the same thing, but now i i finally measured all the dimensions to which my sub enclosure would be able to fit. I have noe come up with a brand new enclosure plan for my 12" dual 2 ohm RE SX subwoofer. I used RE calc to show what the enclosure will look like. i used quickbox elite to get all the right dimensions/values which I had input into Re calc. and i used Inventor to construct the box. the box will be going right behind the rear seat in my 1995 Jeep YJ Wrangler and will be running off a cadence TXA-1000D (1000rms@1ohm)

i was thinking of building an angled enclosure BUT i would only be able to face the sub one way, toward the driver or away from. also the angled box is a little harder for me to construct seeing that this is my first enclosure build. also i wont necessarily be putting people in the rear seat. when I have more people to drive around ill just use my 4 door jeep.

The obvious answer is that you don't want to use a 12" sub. Maybe 3 eights or 2 tens.

Here are plans to build a box that fits IN the bottom half of your seat after you remove some (most) of the foam. It's designed for 2 eights or 1 ten but with the recent invention of shallow" subwoofers you might be able to get 1 twelve in there.

2 late, already got a RE SX 12" sub. so im gonna have to go with the design i made i guess. wats wrong with the one i made tho? it fits a 12" and has over 2^3.

ya but all i really need to know is if my design is fine. Do i have enough port area for the amount of cf^3, do i have a good amount of cubic feet for the sub to operate well. THANKS for the all suggestions!

if i do have friends sittin back there ill just take the sub box out. i just dont like the look of my jeep without the backseat. i may be able to alter where the seat is mounted with some brackets i would build. just move it up 2 inches.

Hi I just put a jl 12w7 with 1.3 volume sealed in my 2002 wrangler angled fire down behind seat with Rockford Fosgate t500.1 into 1 ohm and its amazing everything from ebay except the box i made woofer and amp bout $500

i must say it woops my old system which was 2 kicker cvr10's 2vc 4 ohm and 2 kicker zx 300.1's they were fire down running at 2 ohm also but not enough air space think like .80 per sub sealed but load but no real low bass it amazing how 1 12 beat my old 2 10
