12" in 1 cube...need more output

so i have a 12" zapco i force in a 1 cube box i made(replaces half of center console)> its actually like 1.1 cubes, but im looking for an accurate sub witha little more output, i have 1000w rms to mess with, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

im not looking to change the box, i just spent a week glassing and upholstering it. so one 12" no deeper than 7.25"

after looking around would anyone reccomend the fi q in that box? Is that enough airspace to get the output im looking for?

I too have a center console in a dodge ram, got my box from supercrewsound, its .95cf. sealed and downfiring very similar to yours

Ive tried several set ups in my box.

1. JL 12w0 with 200rms: good SQ and output.

2. Diamond D3 with 400rms: very good SQ and better output.

3. Phoenix Gold RSD with 600rms: lost SQ, lost low frequency extension and gained much more SPL. Current set up.

I really liked the sound(SQ) of #1 an #2 and the output(SPL) of #3.

I really dont know if I should stay with the current set up or upgrade to a Diamond D6 or a JL 12w3v3 with 600 rms.

So with that 1,000 watt rms amp maybe a kicker comp CVX or something like that? the CVX did get some good scoring on the great 12 challenge.

sounds interesting, dunno how the cvx would perform in 1 cube though but its cheap enough that i could give it a try...
