12 inch woofer + amp combo suggestions

I bought a 2008 Tundra with the 12 speaker JBL system. I am happy with the quality of the mids and tweets but the puny 8 inch woofer has to go!

I am looking to buy ONE 12" woofer and a Class D mono amp. The ported box I am building is a truck style triangle shape that measures about 3.5 ft3.

I would like opinions on combos for this set-up! After collecting some info I will look into pricing and get some low bass for my truck. Thx!

do you want sq or spl? do you have an average budget at all?

sq or spl is tuff to answer... I like smooth rolling bass and not tight punching bass.

I could spend $500-600 for one 12 inch woofer and one mono class d amp....

The bottom of the box will be 8-9 inches so I can clear most 12 inch woofers

I think I am going with either a Precision Power or Orian mono class D amp. For 1000-1200 watts runs between $200-$225 which is not bad. I may match the amp up to an Orion 12 inch sub......

here's my for sale thread if you are interested in any of it. a treo ssi 15" would probably work better in that 3.5 cube box then the 12" fi ssd. i also have two hifonics that would power either nicely.
