12 inch sub in small ported box?

what sub does well in a small ported box? trying to keep the box under 2 cubic feet before woofer displacement. it'd be powered off 1000 watts and tuned to around 32 hz. my goal is a daily driver that can get loud and low. i'd also like to keep it under $250 i might be able to go higher though it depends. i've already looked at dc level 4 or even the 2012 model type r if there's any other suggestions i'd appreciate it

Tc sounds LMS-R.

I run a 12" in a 1.5 cube box tuned to 38hz.

sounds great on my 30 min drive to work...sounds better on my 30 min drive home

if that was like 100 dollars cheaper i'd do that. i'm trying to stay under 300

Not to be rude.. But... Iv sent a square clip to a pair of SA-12s on a SAZ-1500D for 3 months (seeing how much they can take) and they are peachy.. What.. happened? Also if you want to go louder, look for more motor force, not just higher power handling. Considered the Zv.3 12?

If your wanting all out loud then the LMS-r isn't for you.

While it does get loud its more of a sound quality sub first.

My old RE SX 12" was much louder but isnt close to the SQ of the Tc sub

eh doesn't matter how much clipping a sub can take when a screwdriver decides to plow through the surround. and yeah it's just a little too expensive for me. what would you say has a stronger motor for under 300?

You probably won't get that much more output just by switching subs. Same cone area, same power, same box.

You are better off picking out what sub you want to use, and getting a box designed for it so that it performs the way it should.
