never tried them just know they are really cheap. like $65 for a pair.. rated 300 wrms... i was thinking about getting 12 and running them sealed? think its worth it? or should i get like 8 and go ported? im trying to move tons of air and be decently loud on music. roughly 145-149's on music.. yea i know its pushing it... any ideas on this possible project?

several audio people on various forums have done this, don't remember how many they used or what they hit.. but.. they've done it.

i'd just get some more daily spl oriented subs and stick with those.. Rs would be a good choice though cost is greater.. less for more in this case.

yea. i have seen it on youtube with 8 ported.. doesnt say way numbers he pulled though.... Rs ? im not sure i even know what those are.. haha.. but i guess im looking to just try to get as much cone area as possible for real cheap but still have quality... i think the hfi's might work... where are those Rs subs?

the hfi subs are actually just as good as the R's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif a guy on the teammaxxsonics.com forum has 8 in a truck doing high 140's daily //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and if you can get at 65 a pair nail it thats below my dealer cost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea. ebay.. actualyl to be exact its only $64 a pair with free shipping.. not bad really... and yea i heard type r's are pretty sick subs but i always like to stick away from the most popular brands so kids around here arent always saying alpine is best, no pioneer is, blah blah. haha. but yea im thinking about doing this now. picking up about 8. maybe even 12 if i do a sealed box. should be fun:D

you're retarded as stated in every other thread you post in.

Give a single one in a built to spec box 1k clean power daily and see how long it lasts..

I have yet to blow an R doing so.. and i've owned 40+ of them.

Thats not impressive.......................kinda sad actually.

they are not designed to take 1000 watts noob they are designed to take 300-600 moron learn to read, watts dont have everything to do with it noob. your just pissed i put ur lil b1tch iskdot on front street so now ur gonna follow all my posts and flame me lolz what a punk loser !! lolz sad lil kids. its why all the good people left this forum

Hifi's are proly the best budget sub available IMO, onlinecarstereo has them for $35 a piece and free shipping over $100 so by the time you got all of yours you would be fine. They defaintly bump. I say get 8 and 2 Hifonics 1208 amps and bam, there ya go.

he did it on 2600 watts with each sub in a 1 cf sealed box that they are not efficient in. he did it just to do it. he also broke the world record for drive by so...... you tell him it isnt impressive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol.. wow.

neither is an R.. it's example. But thanks for proving my points of you both being retarded and Rs > hifis.

i've not been pissed, moreso amused at your stupidity. I know what they're designed to take.. just as I know more about ascoustics than you. I just used a simple obvious point as power to prove which was a better overall sub.. not for the price.. but you didn't say anything about price either so..

call it even and count your losses.

now now.. dont be crappin up on the thread. haha. im just trying to see everyones opinion on what these low priced babies can do... yet 8 12's and 140's isnt very impressive but if i can get high 140's on music that would be great for me.. and should move that air seeing 8 12's would be 904 sq inches of cone area... haha. but i mean. what would you guys do if it were you doing it? get say an extra pair or extra 2 pair and go sealed? or stick with 8 and go ported?
