10w7?? or RE SE 12??

even though the 10w7 has a smaller cone...it has a longer xmax than the se12 becuz the se12 has a larger cone but a smaller stroke...but when u compare the two.......they displace almost the same amount of air...the 10w7 edged out the se12 by a very very small margin..its so small your not going to notice a difference...so being that they move the smae amount of air give or take...its all about which one is more sq oriented

i'm not disconting the w7. the se is more spl oriented then the w7. i said the w7 would have better sq, but not much.
Buy the w7.. you also get that extra wow factor when you show your friends //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Although for the extra $$ spent for the W7 there wouldn't be hardly enough difference to satisfy me
So why would you recommend it to this guy, in this installation?

Because I don't have 350$ to spend on a sub, so I would more then likely go for a cheaper sub. Notice how I said staisfy me? He asked which sub would get louder, if I am correct.. I believe that would be the W7. and yes.. I would love to have the pleasure of owning a W7 to show all of my friends.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so i guess if i learned anything from the hard ons as of late w7//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

hey...thanks every one for the interesting responses...reasoni dont got wit an aa or a type r 15 is my space restircition....i have a 15 ae...if anythign i would have gone wit that ...im im limited to a 10 or 12....reason whyi chose the 10w7 is cause the 12w7 wieghs like 45 pounds and my car is alrdy slowed down from my amps and the custom installation they got.. and the 12w7 locally goes for 450 straight....

i heard the type r's were real good for the money ...butt isnt the w7 like a super sub....so shouldnt it have some type of advantage??? i would think so...but im not sure....my budget is around 300-400

dustin that apline type x u showed me wit shipping n every thing woudl be almost the same as the 10w7 and i havnt heard too much about that sub.....anyone wit experience wit that sub/???

im still stuck!

i chose the Se over the type R.... i was very pleased with the choice...

as for the w7 vs the Se i think overall the w7 has the edge but the cost far outweighs the benefit.... I would go with the SE... it is an excellent driver for SQ and it gets **** loud... I had 2 12" se's in a sealed 1.25 each box, and they were banging...

just my opinion

i would go with the rl-p over the se or w7, and yes i have heard a w7. got a chance to try one out in my car and i was glad i did because imo it didn't live up to it's billing. it was a nice sub, don't get me wrong, just not worth forking over the cash for it. an rl-p will get loud and have amazing sq.
