10w7?? or RE SE 12??

Hey guys im looking for a single sub set up...I bought a 12 L7...it gets real loud and sets off alarms..but im use to havin a ed 10o and miss the sq...so im selling the L7.... i narrowed my choices down

10w7(about 350 from autorized local dealer) and 12 re se(190 shipped) ..both gonna be sealed in about 1.0-1.3 box...10w7 gonna see about 500-550 rms and the 12 se is gonna get about 600-650 rms....both should sound real good

which one do you think is gonna be louder etc??? cause i want loud sql lol

lets see more power (even though small) and cone area, i think the re se wins here. also a lot cheaper.

if he wants to spend almost double for something that won't be louder then the se and might have a little bit more sq, then he can go ahead and do it. for $350 there are better subs out there then a 10w7.

Yes I agree, that their is a better bargain out there for $350. But there is no doubt in my mind that the W7 would get louder then the SE even with less cone and power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Although for the extra $$ spent for the W7 there wouldn't be hardly enough difference to satisfy me.

Ok?? The RE SE and the JL W7 are no where even in the same category bud. AND even if you did choose to go with RE, I'm pretty sure most of their stuff is on back order till November.

i'm not disconting the w7. the se is more spl oriented then the w7. i said the w7 would have better sq, but not much. also jl is overrated. also the rl-p i mentioned would be a much better choice then the w7. you could get a 15 for less then the 10" w7.

SQL.. I garentee you that the W7 will get louder then the RE SE.. I really don't know how you can even to begin to compare these 2.. the JL is way under-rated at 500 RMS.

As for the RL-P, I'm not sure.. I really don't know much about SS.. I wish you luck, their are alot of good drivers out there.. if you want my personal opinon.. that doesn't mean anything. if a sub is underrated and can handle more power then it's rated, that doesn't make it louder when you feed it the rms wattage. i mean more cone area, and a little increase in wattage equals less spl?? i guess i'm missing something here. the rl-p would be a better choice then both of them. it's a great all around driver. one of the better subs i ever got a chance to own.

What do you mean that doesn't mean anything? lol? I know it doesn't mean anything.. but he said he could feed the SE like 100 more watts.. so I was basically telling him he could feed the JL W7 650 or w/e without any problems aswell. It's simply put man. He said he wanted more SQL. The JL is the better choice. For his budget? I dunno. He said he had 350$ to spend on a subwoofer. He can obtain a W7 for 350$. There you go. He asked which would get louder. The W7 or the SE. Final answer. The W7.

p.s. Have you even ever owned or heard a W7 teebone?
