10W7 enough power?

i have a 10W7 that i am putting in a sealed encloser and am wondering if my amp has enough power, it is an older PG XS2500. what do you guys think? this is going into a 04 Z06. thanks.

no, I dont beleive it will do that sub justice. You have a Z06 for crying out loud. Dont skimp on the amp. And I dont mean you have to spend $500 on a 500/1. A >$200 amp that puts out 750rms will be just fine.

why is it not enough is the speaker is rated at 500 rms and the amp is rated at 500 rms at 4 ohm? what am i missing?

how about a kicker zx1000 or a JL 500/1?
