well I did my first sub box awhile ago, but I am redoing itsince it didnt sound right...

My question is, is a 1.25 cu. ft. Volume to much for the 10w6?

so now im gonna make the box smaller to 0.625-0.7 cu. ft. of Volume... would that make a big differance in performance?

its gonna be the same design as last time were it was in the spare tire location....

basicly I wanted to know if the 1.25cu. ft. was to much volume?

I am gonna change my plan to ported instead of sealed...

Now how hard would it be to port a box that is made for the spare tire well?

here is a picture of what I did before, and am gonna go to ported instead of sealed...

I am going that way since, the tech who fixed my JL 500/1 said that I should go ported instead of seald since the amp is gonna work twice as hard, and that is the reason why my amp fryed?

so how would I go about porting the box?

the dim. for the box is:

w = 27in

h = 7in

d = 15in

any help would be appreciated.....

Email JL and tell them what sound your trying to achieve and they will email you back a box design. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
