100x4 amps

the x100.4 is nice, but i havent been able to find one for a long time. haha. how much of a power loss am i looking at from 14.4 to 13.8 volts? All the newer amplifiers are CEA 2006 certified and rated at 14.4, but my system usually stays around 13.8. So how much power would I be getting from a 125 x 4 amplifier running at 13.8 volts?

Power (watts) = current (amps)^2 x resistance (ohms)

So basically the more votage = more power...but more resistance = less power.

Really depends on the speaker's efficiency and amplifier efficiency (typical class a/b is about 50-60% or so) and the amp's power supply to begin with. Then you have the resistance of the wire and the voice coil. So a good estimate of the actual power in watts the speakers are driven by is maybe 50 watts rms.
