newbie here just wanting to know what amp u guys would suggest getting around $250 for mtx 6000 subs.

A while ago I bought two mtx 6000s and powered them by the mtx 421D and that easily powered them, until they blew. They are rated at 250rms i believe...So any fair amp can power that. Check out ebay for some 421ds cheap.

They also have PHD-5 which puts out around 10,000 watts but it's a 5 grand amp.

Lol you obvisously do not know anything about the PHD-5. It does not put out 10k, it puts out if at best 5k. Its a modded D-3 as stated, and its no wheres 5grand.

Got mine for 750$, and it retails for maybe 1k if that.
