$1000 system upgrade w/ links *budget sq/daily driver.

Ok, so i'm planning on upgrading my sound system around christmas time and i have planned aside $1000 for a new upgrade to my ride, so here is the plan. Tell me what u think.My current alpine h.u. will be used and all of my morel maximo componets and 6x9 will also be used although all the doors and trunk will be sound dampened with audio Technics and dynamat dynaxorb pads behind the componets up front. I also Will be making some new mdf speaker baffles , oh and of course the rear deck will be sound dampend along with the doors and trunk. I will be making a build log when i get started on the rest for those interested.

sounds pretty promising. But iirc, that amp will do about 500 to the sub and depending on your preferences it may not be enough output for you. The TC epic might be better suited for that power. or you could keep your current 2 channel mb quart amp and just get a separate mono block that could give the Dayton HO more power or power the Epic. Just saying since I run 2 of the HO 10s giving them about 400 each (maybe a little more) and they give me right at perfect output for my setup on most songs (little lacking sometimes but probably just a badly recorded song) but you give your mids and highs double the power I do so you may need more sub output than I do for an even system response...especially with your sub being in your trunk as well. But then again it might be easier to establish a good front stage with not so much sub output....but just enough to grab those lows.

This. I agree with haze on the powerbass. I'd just run another mono block or a better 5 channel

Meh, I still wouldn't buy it. The fact that they're the same could mean tthe powerbass is good or that the ID is....well....powerbass.

seeing mixed reviews on that one. most seem to say the bass knob wont work until cadence fixes it and that they had problems with the amp initially until Cadence fixed it as well...

They are the older zrs series also, so they are discontinued. I also thought about a used discuss 4 channel , but they are hard to find and no guarantee one will be around when i'm ready to build. I could use my current 2 channel on the dayton to deliver 600 w rms to it and get the 4 channel to power my morels .

keep the DSC on your morels and grab a nice mono. 07 kickers are good and can be found cheap too

mb quart 5 channel? you seem to have good experiences with your current one.

if you can find a memphis big belle 5 channel then go for it!

The powerbass is way better than the mbquart, and its close to the same price
