Im looking to get an amp to do about 1000w @ 2 ohms to power my type X. What amps should I be looking at new or used if im not trying to spend over $250?

if you hunt for a while you can find a good deal. i got a minty fresh 1.1000 delivered to my door for $275 last summer.

A bit overpriced IMO. I sold mine for $200 when I had one. Very solid amp, though.

those are good amps. look around on these forums as I know there has to be someone selling a good amp at a good price! if not, then try to negotiate the price on that alpine!
