power acoustic OVN1-5500D

looking for a amp that wont kill my wallet but will power a pair of duo coil 2ohm 15" sub rated at 1000w rms each....

is this amp any good?

200 amps of fusing and pretty over rated but it should do 1500 rms maybe a bit more.

we clamped a gothic series at 1640 at 1 ohm on 15 volts so i am not sure but they use the same board in all of them just a dif chassis mostly. same amp as a bamf5500 basically.

Decent power, questionable reliability.

You might check out the Lanzar Opti2000D. It does around 1900w at 1/2 ohm and can be found for about $325 shipped new.

They matter with an amp like PA that has CLEARLY skewed their ratings.

i think this was benched for about 2k at 1ohm at 14volts. there is a thread with the test. search for it

it gives an idea but efficiency makes a bigger difference on class d than on ab amps
