10" Type X or 12" w6???

looking to get one of these two...looking for good sq but i still want my mirrors to shake.

If i get the type x i will be using a kenwood amp 1800 watts. With the w6 i would probably look into a kicker 500/1 or something. any thoughts?

Ive herd both but imho its gonna come down more the your enclosure than the speaker. If you are looking for sql, go with an FI Q 12 with in a ported box tuned round 28hz. You ccant go wrong with that. As for the two sub mentioned above, id pick the x over w6 any day of the week.

I am leaning toward the type x because it can handle more power and i really want to keep my kenwood amp (best amp i ever owned) and i dont think the w6 could take the amount of power the amp gives out. would the sq difference between the subs be very noticable? i listen to mostly rap music and some rock and i will most likely have the sub in a ported box.

the x is reconable for around $100 the, the jl several hundred and its a smaller coil... x all the way

w6 might get louder, but the x will annihilate the w6 in sound quality.
