10" Subwoofer Recommendations

I'm getting a new car and am planning the system for it and wanted some input. It will be a Mazda 3 hatch, and Audio Integrations makes a nice sealed box for it that won't take up any trunk space and holds one 10" sub. I'm considering a JL 10w3 or 10w6 either one I will probably put a JL 500w amp on. Which sub would you recommend and why? I will keep the "upgraded" bose highs and stock deck for now just adding the sub. I listen to rock, rap, techno, country.

Out of those two, I would take the w6. It's expensive but imo it is a great sub.

question one how big is the enclosure? question two bud

reason i ask this is because if the enclosure is bigger than 1 cube you might should look at 12s or kicker 10s

the jls are good for a box .6-.9 cubes for general use

going smaller will limit low end extension where as larger lets you reach mechanical limits with less power but can it sound muddy once you get too large and it can cause the sub to potentially be out of control. where the cone isnt moving as it should and sounding crappy

How big's the enclosure? Judging on how you want to go JL, I'm assuming the price tag isn't an issue?

Please don't go JL..as @Bettr n&\#39; Revrse put it, it's a 'meh' product with a huge price tag on it. I'm not putting JL's products down, but you can buy much higher-quality products for less.

SKAR Audio makes the VVX-10, I hear those are one of the best 10s out there right now, and they'll get low. Also look into the Sundown E/SA series (the E series would be for more of a 'budget' build, though.)

If you are going for a high dollar, sound quality sub, I'd recommend a Morel Ultimo SC 10 over the 10w3v3 and the Ultimo 10 over the 10w6.
