10 or 12" Sealed Enclosure sub that digs deep

I tried searching, but it appears that search is still FUBAR.

Anyhow, I was wondering if there was such a thing as a 10 or 12" subwoofer that digs deep in a sealed enclosure? The space I have to work with should be around 1.25 cubic foot or less per sub, with a 6.5" maximum mounting depth.

I've been playing around with modeling software, and it appears that most sealed enclosure subs have a F3 in the 45 to 55 Hz range, which makes me question their ability to dig deep, even with cabin gain.

Thus far, the discontinued Phoenix Gold RSDc 12 has caught my attention. Is there anything else out there that I should be looking at? Also, my budget is $600 or less per sub, so I am sure that should narrow things down.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

woofers ect has some nasty mbquarts that are made for sealed and they dig very deep they are 99 each iirc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what sucks///

no matter how much planning you do, your car can kill frequencies

some cars just dont play low notes very well.

My car hates 50-80hz but below is petty solid

I have tried different sized subs, 1-2 subs, ported, sealed, etc

This is for a 1997 Civic coupe. Right now I am running a single DD1508 in 1 cubic foot net ETA: PORTED tuned to 35 Hz. It digs nice and deep but rolls off in the 50 to 80 Hz range. One of these days, I want to run the pair of 1508s that I own, but I am thinking for later down the road because I don't want a whole trunk full of equipment.

Basically, I am looking for a decent performing sealed enclosure sub so I can DIY my version of some fiberglass stealth boxes. Heck, if I like what I hear, I may just sell the 1508s to my cousin since he has been begging to buy them from me. Then again, if I can get 1 cubic foot ported per side, I won't have to give up my 1508s...

Dammit, I hate thinking out loud.

Look for a driver with a higher Qt (> 0.5) if you want any kind of success with a sealed enclosure.
Thanks for the information. Now I get to drive myself crazy searching for the "perfect" sealed enclosure subwoofer.

I also need to get in there with a tape measure to see if I could make a couple of AE or Fi IB 15s work. Argh, I hate system re-designs.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Qts isn't the only parameter to look at when it comes to LFE out of sealed enclosures. Cms, Sd, and Mms need to be looked at as well because all of the latter play a significant role on the drivers ability to play low in a specified volume sealed enclosure.
