1 sub working more than another - Please help :)

I got 2 rockford fosgate dual voice coil punch stage 3 subwoofers, each 6-800 watts RMS I think, and a rockford fosgate 1000 watt amp.

I have them in my extended cab s-10 inside a box with "holes" in it and one of the subs is pushin more than the other. I dont know whats up, they are both wired correctly and were working fine but now I am having this problem.

Please help me out, I am not too knowledgable with this shit.

It was where the outlet was for the connectors but it broke so there is a hole. it does make it soundshitty but I dont know to plug it up. I think Im gonna make a entirely new box.

Yea I was thinking a coil went out but how do I test it or fix it or know for sure?

The hole is where the speaker wires had a connector to the amp wires but it broke and fell out so the wires just lay in the space where the outlet was.

better off building a new box, but for now, plug it up temp and see if that helps. if not, test the ohms that the woofers read. post each of the readings on here(they should all be the same)

dude I dont even know how to test teh ohms, I know very little about this shit and am lucky I was even able to install it myself.

They have been in hterte for over a year working fine but....

are there holes on both sides of the box? are the subs separated with their own airspace to feed off of? if theres a hole on one side of the box, might be why that sub is acting up.

there is only one hole on one side of the box. they are separated by a board but a hole is through it so they can connect to each other. The side where the hole is, is the sub that pushes the most.

you might have a bad sub. just get a piece of wood and glue it over the hole for now. sealed boxes have to be sealed to work right.

x2 Plug up the hole its allowing the air to escape and theres no pressure so the sub is going to move further. durrrr

Haha, just so you know a DMM doesn't read teh ohms, it reads the speakers impedance
