Zv4 10", was in crappy box not nearly enough port area so the sub didnt perform well.

Single TC Sounds TC1000 15 2.5cubes sealed. Before that,1 Audiomobile MASS 12 1.25cubes sealed. Before that, 1 JL Audio 8w7 1 cube tuned at 30hz. Before that, 1 TC Sounds TC3000 15 2cubes sealed.
I like single sub systems.

How did that 8" sound? I've always loved small subs setups (6.5" & 8").

Fi sp4 with shd sofy parts in a 4.6 cu with 8" aero tuned to 34hz. Before that it was in a ib wall. Then before the wall i had a hdd in a 5.6 cu slot ported box with 19 in of port per cu at 35hz.

I'll be doing a zv.4 10" in a 1.35c/f box tuned to 50hz off a Cactus 5k for bassracing once my recone gets here!

How did that 8" sound? I've always loved small subs setups (6.5" & 8").

I have never heard an 8inch sub perfom the way the 8w7 does...Loud, clean, accurate...output well beyond what you would expect from a single 8. I had mine ported in 1 cube tuned to 30 with a subsonic at 20hz@12db...I ran it with 500rms, 750rms, and even for a lil bit at 1200rms(via HD900/5, 750/1, and 1200/1 respectively)...the sub took it like a champ and just kept pounding. Definitely one of my favorite subs.

Ported was night and day difference from ib. The ib dug low and had a decently flat response but lacked output. The ib also blemded well with my front stage. No ported thats a beast of another color. But sadly to say my hdd was louder and moved more air.

Most definetley i just needed more cone area and power. I loved the sound just not the blistering output i like. If you like ported you will be back.
