Yeah, its a joke to me, I hate it. I am taking a fab class and the teacher is 19, and he knows alot about fab, but still its not that great. I got a class for next month that deals with home entertainment, and alarm systems and smart house shit. The teacher in this class is actually old and knows alot of shit. I am looking forward to his class. He knows how much ohms a resister has by looking at the bands on it thats how good he is.

Each color represents a number. The first two colors are the first two numbers of the resistance. The third color represents the number of zeros that you tack on to that value. The fourth is the tolerance of the resistor. Pretty simple really.

thats not a measure of how good he is... that just means he knows a fact...

lots of people can do that. i remember in 7th grade science class we messed with resistors and learned the coding of the bands...

Um, you know that 1" squared of port would be a 1" by 1" hole in the box, right?

And yes, there will be "port" noise and if there is not, you're way out of the range of the port and it's just a sealed enclosure. I really doubt it's only 1" of port though.

Well this older guy does know his shit though, I was just using it as an example because I thought the resister thing was amazing, but I guess its not. I looked at some of his work and he used more than 30 relays on this boat for actuaters, and some other cool shit. But as this box, it is 1 sq in of port and it is crazy as hell Ill take pics on monday and you will be shocked just as I am. He knows he can get more output with a better port, but he dont care about anyone but himself and wanted to pwn me with that box.

The 19 year old is a cool cat, I have nothing against him. He knows his stuff on fab, And really knows his shit with interiors about how to sew and shit like that.
