1 run of 4/0 or 2 runs of hyperflex 1/0

Just because they have between 2,000-3,000 strands doesn't mean anything. They are bigger strands then the hyperflex thus the less number of strands.

Ok, I bought 55' of the 4/0.

Reasons why...

Kolossus fleks 5145 36awg strands of tinned copper The 4/0 I bought has 8,512 36awg strands of tinned copper. The 4/0 is as flexible as the kolossus.

I was able to get the 4/0 for alot less than the kolossus.

I don't have to worry about doing multiple runs with multiple fuses. I think I made the right choice.

I think the rule of thumb is for every three gauges you go down the wire thickness doubles. I would think that the two runs of 1/0 would be just a tad larger than a run of welding wire 4/0.

huh? Its not tin, its tinned copper better than just copper. I went with 4/0 yeah its overkill but why not since it was cheaper.

the tinned copper is rated @ 70C its still good for 400 amps.. where in the hell did someone hear electron flow is 2/3s of the total surface area??
