1-ohm safe? KAC-9104D & P3D212

I just built this 1 cubic foot sealed box and I'm not getting as much punch as I had hoped for. It's an RF P3D212 sub (4-ohm to amp) and a Kenwood KAC-9104D amp. I have the sub mounted on top of thin carpet, it felt like it pulled down to seal, but maybe not?

Sub rates 500 RMS, 1000 peak.

Amp rates 500 x 1@4, 900 x 1@2, 900+ x1@1

I have input sensitivity around 1 volt (haven't found HU voltage specs yet) and the bass boost is almost 0. If I up my EQ for

I have a 30-amp fuse in-line and the math on that comes out to 375 watts, so I know I'm not getting more than that. If I wired at 1-ohm, specs say 900 RMS, but I assumed I'd only get closer to 600. I don't drive with it cranked all day, I just want to feel bass hits. My question is, anyone think this is going to blow my sub?

The P3 is a pretty durable sub. If it's truly around 600rms your 9104 will be givin it then you will be ok.

Bahahahahaha, that Amp will only do 900 watts RMS @ 1 ohm if it is struck by lightning plus it is more likely to thermal in 10 to 15 minutes at 1 ohm.

Ya, I came to the same conclusion after extensive searching.

Kenwood @ 1-ohm == disaster.

Ah well, I got the amp for $120. I ended up increasing the input sensitivity to 2-volts (about 1/2) and now it sounds great! All EQ's and bass+ are set to 0.
