I have an amp that runs 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm. My speakers are suposed to have 1200 watts rms at 2 ohms. My speaker has 2 voice coils. I have heard you can run dvc speakers at 1, 2, or 4 ohms just by wiring differantly, and dropping your ohms, say on a 4 ohm amp will double its power. So does it go the same thing when you up the ohms? loose power? One of my questions are if I can wire my speaker to run at 2 ohms of my one ohm amp, will it cut the amps power in half to only 600 rms? Second, how do I wire my speaker to run at 1, 2, or 4 ohms. And third, will running my Cerwin Vega Stroker 15d2 at 1 ohm hurt it?
